Lyman Louis Lemnitzer (August 29, 1899 – November 12, 1988) was born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. James Elbert Briggs (1906-1979) was born in Rochester, New York, the son of Bendsmin Robert and Marion Cypert Briggs. Donald Prentice Booth (1902-1993) was born in Albany, New York. From West Point, he commissioned with the Corps of Engineers in 1926. During World War II he served with the Persian Gulf Command.
